A Lifestyle Photographer for Dogs and Their Humans

A bond like this deserves to be remembered.

It’s not just a pet. It’s your best friend. Your quiet comfort. Your little shadow who knows when you need a nudge or a nap.

They’re part of your family, and your story.

That’s what I’m here to capture. Not just the way they look, but the way they feel to you.

A woman kisses her dog while holding it close; the dog's paw reaches toward the camera, creating a blurred, affectionate pet photography scene in black and white.

My Story

Meet Gabriela -
Your Sydney Lifestyle Photographer

When we adopted Lulu, I wanted to bottle up every part of her.

Her cute little ears. Her big eyes. Her gentle little ways.

So we booked a photo shoot.

But it didn’t feel like her.

It felt rushed, like they were just using burst mode and hoping for the best. They hyped her up by squeaking toys at her and throwing treats at her. Yes in the photos, she was looking at the camera, yes it looked like she was smiling, but to me she looked manic and not herself. Plus the white studio backdrop was boring.

Later, when I became a mum, I looked for lifestyle photographers who could include my whole family. And while they said yes to Lulu being there, most never asked her name before the session, let alone what she likes to do or if she had any fears.

She wasn’t seen as a family member.

In one session, she was only in two photos, but in the background!

That stayed with me.

So I started learning. And shooting. And slowly building a way to give other pet parents what I’d been looking for all along…

Photos that feel real. Honest. Connected.

The kind of photographs where your dog, cat or horse isn’t an afterthought. They’re the main character!

And then came Chauncey.

I opened my heart to another dog.

His name is Chauncey Pear, and he has brought so much joy, fun and routine back into my life.

After losing Lulu, I wasn’t sure I was ready. I wondered if I would compare every dog to her, or if loving another dog would somehow mean leaving her behind.

But Chauncey has his own little personality, his own funny ways, and his own very special place in my heart.

He isn’t Lulu.

And he was never meant to be.

He’s Chauncey.

And I’m so grateful Maggie’s Rescue pulled him from the pound after being found as a stray and waiting for two weeks for his family to come and find him. He found his way to me and my family. Living with him has reminded me of something I already knew, but perhaps needed to feel again:

The love we have for our pets changes us.

They become part of our everyday lives. Our routines. Our homes. Our stories. Our families.

And they leave little reminders of themselves everywhere.

The toys on the floor. The muddy paws. The cuddles on the couch. The ridiculous things they do that make you laugh when you least expect it.

Those are the moments I want to photograph for you.

Because one day, your puppy will be a teenage dog. Your young dog will be a senior. And the little things you think you’ll remember forever might become the very things you wish you had a photograph of.

This is why I do what I do.

I will create photographs that feel like your family. That are unique to you. That capture the beauty in your everyday life together.

A relaxed session, that your pet and children lead, full of the love and connection you share.

Whether the session is snuggling at home on your couch, wandering through the streets of Sydney with your neighbourhood and colourful street art as your backdrop, exploring somewhere new, or spending time together in a place your pet loves, like their favourite beach, hike or park, you can be confident that you are in good hands. Your family’s experience and safety are my number one priority. We will talk through what is important to you and choose the perfect time and location to suit your family.

I will never make an animal or child do something they don’t want to do. I have volunteered with rescue animals for over 10 years and have done two courses with Paws and Think Dog Training, I am aware of animals, body language.

I believe the most loved images are natural, candid, real moments, in soft natural light.

We then work together to design artwork for your home that tells a story that belongs to you. Frames, Canvases and collages that when your friends and extended family visit your home, they squeal with joy, because you were documented just as you are.

Because your pet is family.

And your family deserves to be in honoured on your walls, mantle pieces and beside tables. And the grandparents want a print too.

The photos we create together aren’t just for today.
They’re for five, ten, twenty years from now...

When you want to remember the sound of their paws, the shape of their face, the way they looked at you like you were their whole world.

Because you were.
